FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Here are a few common questions we receive on an almost daily basis.
1. WHAT IS THE TORQUE SPEC FOR THE LOCK NUTS THAT HOLD THE NIPPLECUPS IN PLACE? We recommend 100 ft/lbs for our cups and/or seals.
2. I JUST INSTALLED YOUR PRODUCT (OR A COMBINATION OF YOUR PRODUCT AND OTHER HPO SYSTEM COMPONENTS) AND I PERFORMED AN AIR TEST BEFORE FULL ASSEMBLY AND IT IS LEAKING WORSE THAN BEFORE I CHANGED ANYTHING. WHAT'S THE DEAL? Any time you replace components in the high pressure oil system the system will need to be re-seated and any air that entered the system to be displaced. This re-seating process is done by driving the vehicle (approx 15-20 miles) to push any air out of the system and also the high pressure oil seats the new seals. Only after the HPO System has been fully repressurized will an air test be accurate. You will not need to perform an air test unless you still have a hard or hot no start after this process has been completed. If you still have issues please call us to discuss other potential possibilities that are not as common to occur.
